Useful Hints

• Your Chantal Roaster offers more than just roasting - it can be used for poaching fish, steaming vegetables, broiling meats and making casseroles.

• Be careful not to overcook meats and poultry dishes, the self-basting lid and enameled steel materials can decrease cooking time by as much as 25%.

• For best results, roast whole poultry or roasts using Chantal's Stainless Steel Rack (available at your local retailer or directly from Chantal). Or for added flavor, cover the bottom with a large yellow onion peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch slices. Position the poultry or meat on top.

• Before first use, wash in hot soapy water, rinse and dry. After daily use, wash in dishwasher or by hand. For stubborn stains, soak in hot soapy water or scrub with non-abrasive baking soda on a wet sponge.

• To protect the beauty of your pot, avoid strong impact, over-heating and pre-heating empty. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, oven cleaners, bleach or strong abrasive cleaners.

• The Chantal roaster is stick-resistant. However, if you experience sticking, it may be caused by high heat. When fat or oils smoke, the heat is too high. Food film may also cause sticking, so clean the pan thoroughly after use.

• Never pre-heat Chantal dry or let liquids boil dry.

Chantal Enamel Lifetime Warranty:
Chantal warrants that the pot and lid will have no defects in material or manufacture that will render them unserviceable for the duration of the first user's ownership, beginning on the date of purchase by the first user.

For warranty coverage, you must present your receipt to prove date of purchase.

This warranty does NOT cover (1) ordinary wear and tear (such as scratches, dents or stains to the body of the pot or stainless steel rims, external or internal surfaces that do not impair the functional utility of the product), (2) impact damage or breakage, (3) heat discoloration, minor imperfections and slight color variations in the enamel, metals or glass, which are a normal part of the craftsmanship, (4) extreme temperature changes (such as pre-heating cookware empty, letting liquids boil dry, immersing hot pot or lid into cold water) or resulting damage to the pot and/or other property, (5) Improper cleaning methods causing scratches, or (6) other misuse.

Failure to follow the accompanying Use and Care instructions or use of the Pot in commercial applications will void this warranty.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, THAT APPLY TO ANY PARTS OF THE COOKWARE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES GIVEN ABOVE FOR THOSE SAME PARTS. CHANTAL DISCLAIMS THOSE WARRANTIES THEREAFTER. Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Your remedy for breach of this warranty is replacement of the pot. If your returned pan is covered by thiswarranty, you will not be charged for shipping and handling. If, however, your returned pan is not covered by this warranty, you will be responsible for a shipping and handling fee. This is the exclusive and sole remedy for any breach of warranty.

IN NO EVENT SHALL CHANTAL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY. Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

Chantal Corp. reserves the right to make changes and improvements in design without making changes to previously manufactured items.
